I bought this to restore my headlights which have a yellow hue to them and other surface problems. The powerball worked great on getting rid of the yellow hue.... and thats all. The blemishes and other surface imperfections were left behind and even after an hour use of the severe restoration kit did it even start to restore my headlight. This kit is probably best as a preventitive mainance package on new headlights, but a restoration kit it is not. Even if you look at the powerball instruction video the old guy is working on pretty clean looking headlights. If your looking to restore anything, better find something with a good sanding kit in it, not two little hand pads.

I followed the instructions for this product to the "T" and it made the cloud on my headlight worse. Don't buy this product! Worthless!

This product worked well for my 2001 Ford Ranger. The headlights lenses were pretty bad after 9 years. I followed the given instructions. First I used the powerball with the liquid and had limited success. Then I tried the sanding squares. That was the turning point for me. Just follow the instructions that Mother's provides and you will be ok. Don't fret when you finish the sanding procedure--the powerball and the liquid product will finish it in no time. I am very pleased with this product, and recommend it to anyone who wants to restore their headlights back to near-new condition.

A typical, excellent product from Mother's. I cleaned and polished my original head and tail lights on my 93 Mustang. It took about an hour using my power drill, and now they sparkle like new! Thanks Mom!!!

I used this on four different cars, two quite bad. It restored all four from good to like new, depending on how pitted and weathered they were before. Three were foggy but the layer of gunk on them wasn't thick. Just the polish worked fine. On my car, a 2001 Highlander, the first time through got them just good enough to see the bulbs underneath. I polished them twice more after washing. They're now very clear, but slightly yellowed. I'm quite pleased.
The last car was a neighbors 2006 Mustang. Her's needed sanding and then polishing, a 1+ hr job. Like my car, the lenses have a slight yellow tint and a very slight surface fogginess, but you can see the bulbs underneath clearly and the car looks good.
Garages charge $30 - $100 to polish headlight lenses so this is a great value.
