Excellent Product September 6, 2010 Nursiepoo This is an excellent product. I have a 2007 Toyota Solara convertible. Last year I had my convertible detailed and 3M products were used on the cloth convertible top. The water would bead with a light rain, but in a storm the water would soak into the convertible top. This year I cleaned the top well with the RaggTopp cleaner, let it dry, and then applied 4 light coatings of RaggTopp over several hours (two cans), allowing each coat to dry. The results are amazing. The water beads with heavy rains.
I did follow instructions and suggestions from other reviewers. The can provides a fine mist so I applied the coats with the car in the garage. I did tape off windows when spraying and immediately wiped off any excess. It was an easy process and the results were as advertised.
The Best August 18, 2010 ut.vols If you have a cloth convertible top, then Ragg Topp is the only way to. Think of it as scothguard for a convertible top. Spray on light coats and let them dry in between. Mask off your windows and car finish. It's tough to remove overspray once it dries. I used old sheets and newspaper for the rear window. Give it about three light coats. Let dry between. To heavy and it will run all over the place. It's like a liquid spray wax. Once finished and totally dry, pull and the garden hose and give it a shower. It beads up like RainEx. FYI. Don't try to dry or spread with a rag. One side of mine looked right and the other where I rubbed it have to be redon. Enjoy.. 5 thumbs up.
Great product!! September 2, 2009 J. Foy (Greensboro, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Best fabric convertible top protector on the market. Recommended by all major auto convertible manufacturers. Use in garage if possible. Do not use outside on a windy day as you don't want overspray on paint or glass. If you do get spray on paint or glass, just wipe off with dry cloth. Recommend at least 2 coats. Three would be even better and give good protection for a full year. One can should provide enough product for 3 light coats.
Great product June 25, 2009 Tom A. Antolic (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stuff works great. I have been using it for about 5 years on 2 different cars. Works just like the product description says. Two years ago I moved to Phoenix, AZ. I have been using this to protect my convertible top from sun damage. So far it has worked great. After washing and applying this my top looks like new.
Cooper Protector April 14, 2009 S. Faulk (Sacramento, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a 2005 Mini Cooper with the stock convertible top and after reading great reviews about this product on the forums I decided to give it a try. I washed the top and let it fully dry then applied the first coat. I parked the car in the sun and gave it a second coat about 20 minutes later. I did a third coat after giving it about 30 minutes dry then I let it set in the garage for a few days rest (it gave me a good excuse to ride the motorcycle). Just a few days after the application we had a spring rain here in Northern California and i can affirm it works as advertised! The rain was just giant beads of water on the top and rolled right off. I still have enough to apply a few more coats and will do so after about 6 months. I am sure twice per year is plenty for this product.
