Mother's PowerBall is ok. But not the best thing. July 7, 2010 Coolman I just received the PowerBall I ordered, and put it to work the same day. The PowerBall is a good tool to use for the initial polishing of your aluminum. I used it on my Simmons 2 piece alumminum rims. It did remove some of the initial oxidation on my rims, but did not by any means bring them to complete finished shine. You will still have to use you hands and elbow grease to get a finished shine. The PowerBall won't reach in corners and edges, it is best used on flat surfaces. I used it with a cordless power drill, it might work better with a corded drill.
All in all it is ok for the initial step in polishing. The powerball seems sturdy, it hasnt torn apart as of 4 hours of use. Wish is was a little cheaper maybe $10.00.
WORKS GREAT FOR WIRE WHEELS April 16, 2010 MMA JUNKIE87 (LAS VEGAS,NV) WORKS GREAT ON WIRE WHEELS. DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY JUST IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME IS SAVES.
Save your money! August 19, 2009 Michael S. Sewell (Lindstrom MN USA) 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
This thing is an even bigger rip off than Mothers "PowerMetal". I expected a fairly heavy duty, functional tool for the price. Surprise, surprise, it's a cheap piece of junk. Within a minute of using it, the crappy ball came detached from the shaft (oops, I guess it's made to rotate in ONLY ONE DIRECTION). The junk foam is off center, so, the thing flops around on the work piece like a carp out of water. Pass by this one and get a decent polishing wheel.

This is a great produce for polishing up those special auto rims. The job is made simple with this product and Mothers Mimi Ball is a must.
Great product, definitely worth $20 apiece! March 25, 2008 Thomas Quirk (Tucson, AZ USA) 20 out of 22 found this review helpful
I worked at the detailing department at a car wash and know something about buffers. This thing works *great* on paint, just like a commercial grade buffer wheel. If you have experience with a regular buffer wheel, this is an easy adaptation. It's small enough to handle easily, but big enough to do a fairly quick job.
I use a corded drill for doing a large vehicle. Unless your cordless has brand new batteries, they may run out. But you will save money by not having to buy a buffing tool. 2 of these babies (1 to polish, 1 to wax) and a good drill is all you will ever need. They clean up by soaking in dish soap solution for an hour or two (use enough soap). I definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a good looking car and wants to save about $100 on equipment!
